The purpose of the Sales Representative is to generate new business leads and sales prospects and drive sales for astro turf. As a Sales Representative you will represent the brand and values in all aspects of the sales cycle both publicly and internally, especially in developing and maintaining customer relationships and satisfaction.
You will actively seek new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, CRM and social media. Your tenacity and persistence are professional and your technical expertise and background allows you to identify customer needs and opportunities; and maintain customer relationships and product quality and implementation. Reporting into the Regional Sales Manager.

The ideal candidate should have a good background in sport, nationally or internationally

Duties & Responsibilities

Drive sales and develop new and existing business
• Achieve sales budgets/targets
• Generate leads through cold calling, networking and social media
• Effectively leverage the CRM system to evaluate customer needs; and the sales engagement process with the Regional Sales Manager and marketing
• Setup meetings with potential clients
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations on the company and the  product
• Monitor customer sales lifecycles
• Assess, listen and gather customer requirements and needs to recommend product options
• Drive sales conversions and track sales effectiveness
• Negotiate and close sales prospects
• Sales data analysis; interpretation and feedback
• Report on sales results
• Develop and maintain customer relationships for maintenance or new sales
• Key account management (KAM)
• Conduct market and competitor research
• Collaborate with the team to achieve better results
• Active participation and attendance at industry events and networking
• Coordinate the logistics and planning of customer Factory Tours
• Create and coordinate quotes
• Actively pursue and respond to tenders
• Project manage and deliver the installation and onsite construction of the product; on time and in budget.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Previous experience in a sales rep/account executive role preferably in the manufacturing textile/flooring/artificial turf industry would be preferable
• At least 2-5 years sales experience at a senior level in business is essential
• A proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets/budgets
• Proven sporting achievements at a National and International level will be an added advantage
• Understanding of project management methodology in Construction

Relevant Diploma/Bachelors/Honours degree in Commerce or Marketing or Architecture or Arts;

• Valid Driver’s License is essential
• Travel is required in this position:
o 80% – local travel in the region
o 10-20% – national
